Today we’ll focus on the most affordable of the three, the ASUS ZenFone 5Q, as we were given the opportunity to experience the phone for ourselves.

The ZenFone 5Q may not feature the AI technology like the ZenFone 5Z or the ZenFone 5 but it definitely holds its own and proves itself worthy of the ZenFone title.

Meet the ASUS ZenFone 5Q

The design of the ZenFone 5Q, while quite distinct from its ZenFone 5 cousins, has similarities to its predecessor, the ZenFone 4; particularly the 2.5D glass front and back and rounded edges. It does adopt a more modern 18:9 ratio screen, choosing to go for on-screen buttons than capacitive buttons that its predecessor had.

The phone comes with a sim ejector tool which allows access to the dual sim card and SD card tray on the left side of the phone. Opposite the sim tray are the volume buttons and the power button.

One thing that the ZenFone 5Q boasts is its dual front camera setup with a 20MP main camera with F2.0 aperture and Softlight LED flash partnered with a secondary 8MP 120-degree wide-angle camera with F2.4 aperture.

The rear camera, like the front camera, packs two cameras; a main 16 MP camera with F2.2 aperture and 4K video recording and a secondary 8 MP, 120-degree wide-angle camera with F2.4 aperture.

In the bottom of the phone are the two speakers and the micro USB slot.

While it is prone to fingerprints, the ASUS ZenFone 5Q looks elegant and is relatively easy to handle due to its glass front and back paired with its size and aspect ratio.
