Daigo Challenges SFV Champion Tachikawa

At the awarding ceremony of Street Fighter V, just as Tachikawa raised his trophy as Rev Major 2019 Street Fighter V  Grand Champion, there were some awkward technical difficulties..

… Or so we thought, as none other than Daigo “The Beast” Umehara emerged from back to challenge Tachikawa for a show match!

Eyemusician Makes Beautiful Music

Rox Dragons| EYEMUSICIAN seemingly came out of nowhere to shock Rev Major 2019 by putting on a dazzling show with his mastery of Yoshimitsu.

We first caught wind of him when he knocked out hometown hero AK to the surprise of everyone in attendance.

Eyemusician would move on, putting on a clinic as he blazed stylishly through Pools on to the Top 8 where he would unfortunately be eliminated by Rangchu. Despite that, during those two glorious days of Tekken, Eyemusician conducted a symphony that had the crowd entranced at Rev Major 2019.

THAT LowHigh and Rangchu Sequence

With both LowHigh and Rangchu facing elimination, this tense, spine-tingling exchange decided who will represent Korea in Rev Major moving forward.

That New Josiebee Commercial

The Philippine FGC’s favorite fighting game flavored-fast food restaurant got a new commercial! A Dorya in Every Bite!

Nobi meets Son of Nobi

Rev Major 2019 bore witness to what is perhaps the most epic saga of family this side of the Fast and the Furious franchise, when Team Yamasa’s Nobi met in battle with local player “Son of Nobi“. The two would first meet in the main stage in pools to the delight of the crowd when their respective IGNs showed up on screen.

The two would play a Dragunov mirror together with Nobi coming out on top. Both competitors would exchange a hug afterwards to ensuing cheers from the audience.

However, as fate would have it, Nobi would reach the Grand Finals at Rev Major 2019 where his would-be son would escort him to the stage for his entrance! Even when Nobi fell short of the Championship thanks to defending champion LowHigh, Nobi called up Son of Nobi to the stage and gave him the runner up his medal. Just as he would his real son!

And it was for keeps too, not just for show. Son of Nobi tried to return the medal after the photo op but Nobi wanted him to keep it. An amazing gesture. This is how a champion inspires a future champion.

Harada Had A Good Time

I think it’s safe to say that the legendary director and chief producer of Tekken,  Katsuhiro Harada had a great time at Rev Major 2019. He was in the front row for almost all the Tekken matches, witnessing every match, every crowd pop and every glorious moment with us. When everything was said and done he addressed the crowd with the statement above.

With the crowd going nuts over cheers of Jollibee, Harada-san would asked them all to calm down but immediately following up by reaching out to the biggest fast food chain in the country.

It’s clear Harada-san was happy about how Rev Major 2019 turned out as he also tweeted following about everything was said and done
