Dragon Ball FighterZ is among the fighting game titles for EVO 2018

Dragon Ball FighterZ certainly lived up to the hype. Not only did it get excellent reviews and great sales, it’s also looking to be a solid fighting game esports title. Just last week, the eight tiles for EVO 2018 has been announced, and Dragon Ball FighterZ is one of them.

Here are all eight games that will be featured at EVO 2018:

Tekken 7

Super Smash Bros. Wii U

Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition

BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle

Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2

Injustice 2

Super Smash Bro. Melee

Dragon Ball FighterZ

Dragon Ball FighterZ is joining the ranks of esteemed fighting games such as Street Fighter 5, Tekken 7 and Smash. Fans of the game are surly excited with the news, given that DBFZ has only been released recently.

DBFZ developer Arc System Works also has two other games at EVO 2018, namely Guilty Gear Xrd REV 2 and Blazblue: Cross Tag Battle. Both Guilty Gear and Blazblue are mainstays at FGC tournaments, but it’s a surprise that Cross Tag Battle was selected as the game will only be released this May.

Sadly for Marvel vs. Capcom fans, the latest entry to the series — Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite, will not be featured at this year’s EVO. It won’t even be a part of the Capcom Pro Tour, suggesting that the game is being abandoned as an esports title by the publisher themselves.

EVO 2018 is happening this August 3-5 at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino, Las Vegas.
