PlayBook Esports, one of the most respected esports organizations in the Philippines, officially announced its partnership with the LausAutoGroup, a multi-brand car dealership network, considered the largest in the country today.
“It makes us very proud to partner up with PlayBook Esports, as our first foray in the esports and gaming world,” said Paul Laus, President of LausAutoGroup. “Due to the diversity and dynamism of the esports market, it makes sense to look at it as an alternative way to reach new audiences that we want to tap. With PlayBook athletes being proven winners locally and internationally, this also gives us an even bigger opportunity to expand our partnership.”
Richard Brojan, Chief Executive Officer of PlayBook Esports, also looks forward to the partnership. “In all our talks with Paul and LausAutoGroup, it was clear that the relationship has a lot of potential. The LausAutoGroup is known for its core values of honesty, integrity, and productivity, which are the same values that all PlayBook Esports athletes are expected to espouse. We are certain that this partnership will be mutually beneficial for both LausAutoGroup and PlayBook Esports.”
As a start to the partnership, the two organizations have joined to compete in The Nationals, the first franchise-based esports league in Southeast Asia. Playing under the banner of “LausAutoGroup-PlayBook Esports (LPE) Eagles,” Tekken 7 wonderkids Alexandre “AK” Laverez and Andreij “Doujin” Albar caught the league by storm, going for a 1-2 finish in the maiden and sophomore conference of The Nationals’ Tekken tournament.
The partnership between the LausAutoGroup and PlayBook Esports further extends to the creation of new esports teams in The Nationals for popular game titles like Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and DOTA2. To further highlight both companies’ goal of expansion and diversity, the LPE Eagles aims to compete in even more tournaments locally and internationally, via qualifiers for the Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines (MPL-PH), DOTA2 Professional Circuit (DPC), and the Tekken World Tour (TWT).
