It’s been a little over two months since the launch of Hearthstone’s Madness at the Darkmoon Faire expansion, and we’ve had a lot of fun with the new cards as well as the updates to other game modes. Now that we’re at the halfway point of the expansion, the 35 extra cards that were announced in Hearthstone’s Fall Reveal are finally coming to the game.
The Darkmoon Races is a Mini-Set that includes 35 unique cards, made up of 16 Common cards, 14 Rare cards, 1 Epic card, and 4 Legendaries. Starting January 22, these cards will be appearing in Darkmoon Faire expansion packs, so you can wait until the mini-set launches before opening them. If you have some gold saved up, however, here’s some good news: you can purchase the Darkmoon Races bundle for 2000 gold, and it’ll include one copy of each legendary, and two copies of each card for the rest of the rarities. You can also purchase the bundle for $14.99. For more details on every new card in the mini-set, you can check out Hearthstone’s official announcement.
We’re also getting some Battlegrounds and Duels updates in the 19.4 patch. We’ll be getting two new Heroes to master in Battlegrounds, as well as some much-needed Demon units for buffing the Demon tribe as a whole. If you’ve experienced the Battlegrounds meta lately, you must have noticed that Demons often have trouble catching up to the power level of other tribes. These new units just might give them the push they need for that 1st place Demon win.
As for Duels, each Class will receive a new Hero Power, giving players the ability to choose from three rather than two options at the start of each run. With the arrival of the Darkmoon Races, cards from the mini-set will also be making an appearance in Duels, and that includes the Dual-Class Cards. You can check out each new Hero Power and new treasure in the official announcement for the Duels Mid-Season Update.
If you’re itching for a new Solo Adventure, you won’t have to wait long, because Anduin’s chapter in the Book of Heroes is finally coming with the 19.4 patch. It’ll be playable starting February 3, and players can get a Priest Pack as a reward for completing it. Why does Anduin look like a Rogue, and what’s the deal with that emo outfit? Get to know the story of how Anduin finds the Light in the latest chapter of the Book of Heroes.
