Perhaps one of Ubisoft’s biggest surprises in E3 2019, Gods & Monsters is an entirely new IP developed by the brains behind Assassin’s Creed Odyssey. Typically, post-apocalyptic games aren’t charming in general, but in the case of Eastward, it’s the first adjective that comes to mind. The game leverages a pixelated art style with a control dynamic similar to classic RPGs. The story centers on a young boy named Seth and a mysterious girl named Sam, as they journey to a decaying world while uncovering the latter’s memories, as well as the source of the monsters who lay havoc to every town.

While not an entirely new Pokemon title, Pokemon Sword & Shield’s expansion pass will allow you to enjoy two games for the price of one. The DLC pack will enable players to access new and uncharted areas in the Galar Region. Aside from the expanded map, the DLCs will feature brand new storylines, two upcoming legendaries, and regional forms of pre-existing Pokemon such as Slowpoke, Zapdos, Articuno and Moltres. The expansion pass’s first half will also help players achieve Gigantamax forms for Cinderace, Inteleon, and Rillaboom. Pokemon Sword and Shield just might be the best core titles in the series yet.
