Overwatch Contenders Season 1 Update – EnVyUs, Misfits top NA and EU respectively

It has been almost a month since the start of Overwatch Contenders Season 1, and after four weeks of exciting Overwatch action, it is Team EnVyUs and Misfits that are at the top of the North American and European legs of Contenders.
Both teams currently have an undefeated record, though EnVyUs is not the sole undefeated team in NA, as EnVision eSports also have no losses as of Week 4. Misfits is in a more comfortable place as they’re the only current team in EU that has no losses.
Contenders North America
EnVyUs proved that they’re still the kings of NA Overwatch four weeks into Overwatch Contenders. Most of EnVy’s series wins were fairly quick 4-0 victories; only one team managed to take a game off them, and that was FaZe Clan.
Not to be outdone is EnVision, who are also undefeated as of today. FaZe Clan rounds out the top three spots, with the team only having one series defeat so far.
Meanwhile, pioneer dive-comp team Rogue looks to be under-performing in Contenders. While they dominated NA for some time during the time of the dive-meta, they’re currently sitting at a 2-3 score, with the team being in danger of elimination where they might join the ranks of Immortals and Renegades.
In EU, Misfits are the undisputed top team so far, as they have a 5-0 record. Like EnVy, Misfits’ wins were mostly 4-0, except for their series against GamersOrigin which ended in a close 3-2 score.
Team Gigantti and 123 currently occupy the second and third spots, with both teams having rather good results of 4-1 and 3-1 respectively. The same can’t be said of Season Zero winners eUnited, as the team is yet to win a single series. eUnited are not yet eliminated though, but things do look grim for them
Season 1 of Overwatch Contenders will continue this September 16. The Group Stage will end on September 25, with the Playoffs stage taking place next month.
