The world’s top Mobile Legends: Bang Bang teams will collide in a clash of titanic proportions in the second year of the MLBB World Championship. In contrast to the MPL seasons that took place throughout the year, M2 will be a six-day offline event at the shores of the Garden City, Singapore.
Unlike M1, M2 will feature a measly count of 12 contenders from the Philippines, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, Myanmar, Russia, Cambodia, and Brazil. The invited teams will compete in a series of fierce battles for a chance to snag the lion’s share of the tourney’s $30,000 prize pool.
The contenders are as follows:
- Brazil – Dreammax
- Cambodia – Impunity KH
- Myanmar – Burmese Ghouls
- Japan – 10S Gaming Frost
- Malaysia – Todak
- Russia – Unique Devu
- Singapore – Evos SG, RSG
- Philippines – Omega Esports, Bren Esports
- Indonesia – Alter Ego, RRQ Hoshi
Todak, RRQ Hoshi, and Bren Esports won their recent MPL seasons to qualify in M2 while the rest of the teams were invited based on their performance in their countries’ MLBB pro circuits. North America, Turkey, Laos, Thailand, and Vietnam will sit out for the upcoming season.
The 12 teams will be split into four groups, with every group containing three squads each. Moonton has not revealed any details regarding the group stage format, but expect the company to release more information in line with the tourney in the coming weeks.
The group stage will run from January 18 through 20 while the playoffs are scheduled from January 22 to 24.
