LPE.AK crowned The Nationals – Tekken 7 Conference 1 champion!
Posted by cmsadminGG September 15, 2019

Alexandre “LPE.AK” Laverez bags the first Tekken 7 title of The Nationals after an exciting Grand Finals between the two teammates from Laus Auto Group Playbook Esports Eagles (LPE).

LPE.AK finished the regular season in third place behind teammate Andreij “LPE.Doujin” Albar and Juliano “PSO.Jules” Lozano. This put LPE.AK up against sixth seed, Elijah Fernan “HFE.HajiEspera.

The playoffs in Tekken 7 of The Nationals featured the top eight players of the regular season. They played a best-of-five double elimination.

LPE.AK looked impressive against HFE.Haji after a sweep. Despite HFE.Haji playing 3 difference characters – Lucky Chloe, Anna, and Julia, the outcome was the same, LPE.AK continuing in the Upper Bracket while HFE.Haji was sent to the Lower Bracket.

Next up for LPE.AK was fellow veteran PSO.Jules and this time LPE.AK was pushed to the brink. The two veterans traded games in a thrilling Shaheen vs. Jin matchup. PSO.Jules opened the final game with a win in the first round after showing what the new Jin was like. LPE.AK not only fought back, but he also showed his experience and expertise after winning three rounds straight to secure the Upper Bracket Final. The win was cemented by a nail-biting comeback from AK in a fourth-round that went down to the very last second.

From here on out, it was LPE.Doujin that stood between LPE.AK and the title of the first champion of Tekken 7 in The Nationals.

The two faced off in the Upper Bracket Finals as well as in the Grand Finals. The first meeting of the teammates saw LPE.AK win the matchup in four games despite LPE.Doujin pulling out Claudio and Asuka. This dropped LPE.Doujin to the Lower Bracket and secured LPE.AK a twice to beat advantage in the Grand Finals.

Doujin faced Mark Daniel “CUW.Machinehead” Eking in the Lower Bracket Finals. This wasn’t the first time the two had battled in the Playoffs. LPE.Doujin was the reason why Machinehead was in the Lower Bracket in the first place. The LPE veteran swept CUW.Machinehead and did so with Law against Kazumi.

The LPE teammates traded the first four games of the Grand Finals. LPE.Doujin showed the newly added moves of Claudio and pulled out Marduk to force the Game 5. While LPE.AK kept his composure throughout the series.

Ultimately, it came down to Round 5 of Game 5. A win for LPE.Doujin meant a reset of the bracket, meaning another best-of-five, while a win for LPE.AK meant the championship. LPE.AK opened the round with a quick combo and a lot of damage. Which made it hard for Doujin to retaliate. The series and the Conference ended with 37 minutes remaining.

CUW.Machinehead ended the Conference in third place and PHP 25,000. While LPE.Doujin settled for second and PHP 50,000. LPE.AK wasn’t only crowned The Nationals – Tekken 7 Conference 1 champion, he also took home PHP 100,000.
