MPL-PH Season 6 Qualifiers Announced
Posted by Yuri Mangahas July 18, 2020

Following the success of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League’s fifth season, the largest mobile esports league in Southeast Asia is set to make a legendary return with higher stakes, bigger challenges, and a staggering prize pool awaiting the victors.

A Brand New Arena

Eight teams were invited to participate in the league’s sixth season. Two-time champions Sunsparks will join the fight once again, albeit under the banner of rising esports organization Aura PH. On the other hand, Season 5 runner-ups ONIC PH acquired the services of MLBB prodigy Basic in an effort to settle their score with the champions and claim the crown.

The two-time MPL champs blaze anew under the banner of Aura PH.

Seasoned MLBB squads Bren Esports, Omega PH, and Execration are primed to challenge the dynasty, while Blacklist International, BSB, and BluFire (formerly known as ULVL) are looking to prove their mettle after a dismal performance in Season 5.

Qualifiers will be held to determine the final two contenders in the main lineup. The qualifiers will be divided into two segments: the open qualifiers and the main qualifiers. All registered teams are expected to compete with one another in the open qualifiers. The final eight teams will then proceed to the main qualifiers for the opportunity of being named as Season 6 combatants.

Tournament Schedule

The qualifiers will run from July 23 through July 26, while the eight-week regular season is scheduled to commence on September 4. The top eight teams will advance to the playoffs and will battle it out to go home with the lion’s share of the coveted $120,000 prize pool.

Esports hopefuls may still register until July 21 to participate in the open qualifiers. The main qualifiers will be streamed live from July 25 to 26 via the official MLBB Facebook and YouTube pages.

Be legendary, and join the fight in the sixth season of the MPL-PH.
