MyTeam Unlimited, NBA 2K’s $250,000 USD Tournament on NBA 2K21 is kicking off right now for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players! The tournament will be held exclusively on NBA 2K21’s MyTeam mode where players assemble their virtual dream of classic and current NBA superstars.

Right now, players from North America, Philippines and over 20 other countries around the world can participate in the pre-qualification period in order to compete in one of four upcoming GameDays:

  • October 11, 2020
  • November 22, 2020
  • January 3, 2021
  • February 7, 2021

Each of the pre-qualifying periods for the respective GameDays begins at the start of each new Season in NBA 2K which are a new addition to this year’s NBA 2K21’s MyTEAM mode.

Seasons were introduced this year as a way to bring new content to MyTEAM as well as introduce new daily, weekly and seasonal-based challenges and rewards for players to unlock. Now, each Season will also ring in the chance to make it big in MyTeam!

The top 16 competitors with the highest score on each console family (PlayStation and Xbox) will qualify for the final MyTeam Unlimited Tournament on February 21, 2021. All 32 players will play in head-to-head single elimination matches until the winners from each console are determined. The two best console players (one from Playstation and one from Xbox)will then compete in the final Championship on the PS4 platform on March 6, 2021 for their share of the $250,000 USD prize purse.  The grand champion will receive $200,000 USD and the runner-up will receive $50,000 USD.

In light of the current state of the world, all matches including the finals will be played online.
