These Magic The Gathering Full Text Lands Are Everything
Posted by Raphael Leynes May 15, 2021

If you’re a fan of the collectible trading card game, Magic the Gathering then chances are you’ve heard of the Full Art cards, versions of your favorite cards that blow up the art to the full size of card at the expense of the rules and reminder text—in the case of the Textless promo card completely without text at all. However, have you heard about Full Text Cards?

That’s right the mad lads over at Wizards of the Coast have announced and will be releasing Full-Text Land cards that do away with all the gorgeous distracting art in favor of flooding a majority of the real estate with the real hero of the card—the informative, beautiful and delicious text.

Wizards of the Coast is really no stranger to humor judging by their Unglued, Unhinged, and Unstable jokes sets. This Full-Text Lands release through its experimental brand Secret Lair is no different as the official description on the WotC website states:

“The lands of Magic are known for their beautiful sweeping landscapes and awe-inspiring exotic locales. Fie on that we say. Fie! Too long has gorgeous art gotten in the way of the most exciting part of the game: an extremely detailed rules system dictating exactly how to play! Featuring art by ABSOLUTELY NOBODY, the Full-Text Lands are a deep dive into the inner machinery of basic lands. Express your love for rules and literally nothing else with the most informative lands the game has ever seen!”

The set will include Full-Text versions of one of each of the five basic land cards–Plains, Island, Mountain, Swamp, and Forest— all decked out in the complete rules text for its proper play. The set will retail at 29.99 USD for the regular version and 39.99 USD for the Foil version.

Yes, there is a Foil Version.

If you’re one of the enlightened few that prefer having text framed and immortalized on your Magic The Gathering Card, instead of that ruddy art stuff, you can head over to this link to place your order. Interested customers have until May 29, 2021 to finalize their purchase and the set will drop on August 25, 2021
