ROG Announces New Zephyrus and TUF Gaming Line-ups with Intel 11th Gen CPUs
Posted by Paolo Arciga June 21, 2021

If you’ve been looking around for a new PC or even just parts to upgrade your current rig, you’d know just how hard it is to find certain GPUs and CPUs in stock. Even if you do find them, they’re almost always sold for much more than retail price. The parts shortage that we’ve been experiencing in the past months has made it nearly impossible to build or upgrade your PC at a reasonable cost.

Fortunately, there’s a way to get the power and performance of a gaming PC without all the hassle of waiting and scouring for parts online: get yourself a pre-built unit, or even better, a gaming laptop. And when it comes to gaming laptops, you can’t go wrong with Asus ROG.

This past weekend, ROG announced their new Zephyrus and TUF Gaming laptop line-ups, with the Zephyrus models set to release next month, and the TUF Gaming models available now. The Zephyrus S17, Zephyrus M16, TUF Gaming F17/F15, and TUF Dash F15 are powered by the latest 11th gen Intel processors, and they also come equipped with RTX 3000 series GPUs.

The more premium Zephyrus line-up is comprised of the S17 and M16. The S17 features a new keyboard design called the Rising Optical Mechanical Keyboard, which adds a 5-degree tilt to not only improve typing comfort, but airflow too. The S17 is available with up to an Intel Core i9 CPU and Nvidia RTX 3080 GPU, and with 32 GB RAM and 3 TB SSD storage, it’s every bit as much of a workhorse as it is a gaming PC.

The M16 is a slightly more modest Zephyrus model that’s only available with up to an RTX 3070 GPU, but you can still max it out with an Intel Core i9 CPU. Featuring a 16”, 165hz WQHD display that follows a 94% screen-to-body ratio, you’ll be surprised just how big and detailed a screen can feel on a portable device. With a 10-hour battery life and up to 2 TB SSD storage, it’s a great on-the-go solution for both work and play.

ROG’s Zephyrus laptops are known as their premium, top-of-the-line products, and they do tend to be quite expensive especially if you want them with the maximum specs. If you’re looking for a laptop at a more midrange price, the TUF Gaming line-up is a great option that’ll still come with an 11th gen Intel processor and up to an RTX 3050 Ti.

The TUF Gaming F17/15 is a robust gaming laptop that can handle up to an Intel i7-11800H, 16 GB RAM, and 1 TB storage, while the new TUF Dash is an ultra-thin gaming laptop that features a 19.9 mm chassis, equippable with up to an Intel i7 11370H and RTX 3050. Whether you’re looking for a laptop with a demanding presence on your desk, or you want a lighter device for work and gaming, the TUF line-up has you covered.

For a more detailed list of specs as well as a list of retailers where the new Zephyrus and TUF Gaming line-ups will be available, you can check out ROG’s official 2021 product list.
