Team FearUs becomes first SEA Champions for DreamHack Paladins
Posted by Caisam Yvez Nopueto May 15, 2017

Team FearUS became the first champions of Southeast Asia for the DreamHack Paladins SEA Qualifiers after a 3-0 victory over Team Pavallione. As a result, they will represent the SEA Region heading into DreamHack Valencia — to be held at Valencia, Spain, on July 13-16.

DreamHack SEA Qualifier is the first of the premiere tournament for Paladins in the SEA Region, with a prize pool of USD 6,000. The winner, Team FearUs, closed in on USD 3,000, while Team Pavallione took home USD 2,000.

Team FearUs compose of:

Ariq “KingMOECCHI” Loupias (Indonesia),
Johan “Feezlefeez” Men (Indonesia),
Jerry “RestrictedGOD” Comia (Philippines)
Muhammad “Agnical” Faiz, (Malaysia)
Myuji “Myuji” Otsuji (Philippines)
Coach: Abhinandan “Velgor”Pande

Team FearUs acutally had to enter the tournament through the Open Qualifiers: they qualified (rank 3rd) and ended on the top of the rankings during the Open Qualifier Championships. They had to beat two of the top three teams in Southeast Asia to get the crown (Sea Monsters and Pavalllione respectively).

All three games were hotly contested by both teams, and were pretty close despite the 3-0 shutdown from Team FearUs. While it was the RestrictedGOD and Myuji shining with their damage dealing cores, it was KingMOECCHI stealing the show with his wonderful performance with the Fernando picks.

They will be travelling to Spain for the DreamHack Valencia, a gaming festival with popular titles such as Counter Strike: Global Offensive, Starcraft II, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, and Super Smash Bros.
